There is a cost to carry a camera into most of the ancient temples of Egypt. Video cameras are an additional charge and we had to pay enormous sums of money to use our professional television camera.
It's important to keep your ticket with you as you photograph the site, since, like we were, you may be constantly asked by the guards for proof that you paid to film the temples.
If you don't have this ticket, you will be asked for "baksheesh" . . . . a small bribe or gift to the Egyptians.
